English Blog #2

The first essay that we had to write for class was a summery of a article from the class book. I choose President Obama's election night speech, if only because I had already hear it and kinda knew what it was about. I kinda like summarizing and I kinda don't. I like it because, well because I dont really need to think as much as I woulds if I was writing a formal essay, which equals less stress and less headaches for me. Its about ten times easier for me to tell others about something I've read, I mean I've done just that almost my entire life. Why I don't like it  is because, and this will sound strange and confusing, I really like to write formal essays, I kinda like the stress of it all! Its just more fun for me to have to think about what to say, when to say it, how to say it, and if it is really necessary to get my point across! I like the article that I summarized, it wasn't to long or to short it was just right(can anyone tell I'm stealing from The Three Bears.) There was enough there for me to get in to a write a good paper. When I finally get around to re writing, I think I'll keep the actual essay the same just change the citations and the citation page, oh and make it double space. I used the book and my mother, the book really didn't help because I wasn't the right MLA style...I guess. My mom helped alot (she's an English teacher)
